Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems that meet our clients’ needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and be proficient in project management.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and refine mechanical designs for various applications.
• Oversee the integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Utilize CAD software to model and analyze designs.
• Evaluate the performance of existing systems and propose improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments on engineering projects.
• Maintain documentation for all engineering processes and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical design and project management

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with robotics and automation systems: Experience working with automation technologies within mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies: Understanding of renewable energy systems and their applications in engineering.
