Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Pretoria. This role involves dispensing medications, advising patients on proper medication usage, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Provide detailed information to patients concerning their medications.
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and state regulations.
• Conduct health screenings and immunizations as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient health outcomes.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage drug expiration dates.
• Participate in patient counselling sessions and workshops.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or equivalent
• Further specialization in clinical pharmacy is advantageous

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy role
