Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Tax Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will primarily focus on managing tax compliance, providing strategic tax advice, and ensuring our clients meet all statutory obligations. You will engage with clients to interpret local tax laws and advise on the implications of business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop tax strategies to optimize financial outcomes for clients.
• Review and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Handle correspondence with tax authorities and prepare tax-related reports.
• Provide ongoing support and advice to clients on various tax matters.
• Identify opportunities for clients to improve tax efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for tax planning purposes.
• Monitor and respond to changes in tax regulations and legislation.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to evaluate clients' financial health as it relates to tax.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax advisory or compliance roles
