Procurement Officer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage procurement budgets and monitor spending against forecasts.
• Conduct audits of procurement processes to ensure compliance.
• Guide and train junior procurement staff on best practices and company policies.
• Participate in strategic planning to align procurement with business objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
