Job Description

As a Drayman, you will play a crucial role in transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading items, planning routes, and ensuring the maintenance of delivery equipment. This position requires physical stamina and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods using carts and ensure they are secured during transit.
• Plan delivery schedules that maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Conduct regular inspections of delivery equipment.
• Maintain clear records of deliveries and client interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns during deliveries.
• Coordinate with logistics team to optimize route planning.
• Follow up on any outstanding deliveries or issues.
• Ensure compliance with local traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery area.
• Assist with training of new drivers and logistics personnel.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate

Experience

• Experience with specialized equipment and local traffic regulations.

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Experience with heavy machinery (advantageous)

Languages
