An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dedicated team in Durban. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing various civil engineering projects, contributing to the growth and improvement of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new technologies and methods for improving engineering designs.
• Participate in community outreach to communicate project benefits.
• Draft technical specifications and prepare reports for management.
• Monitor project progress and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure effective quality control throughout project execution.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on engineering best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental assessments and impact studies.
• Promote sustainable practices in all engineering operations.
• Develop and maintain project documentation on all phases.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geographic Information System (GIS)

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
• Chartered Engineer status

Languages

• English: Fluent
