Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, data modeling, and programming languages such as Python and R. You will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning systems and will play a key role in data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate machine learning models into existing systems.
• Conduct data preprocessing and feature engineering to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement advanced algorithms and optimize them for production.
• Monitor and evaluate model performance, making adjustments as necessary.
• Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest research in machine learning and AI enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or relevant field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning and predictive modeling
