Job Description

The Shearing Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining shearing machines in a manufacturing environment. You will work with metal sheets, ensuring precision in cutting and shaping processes, while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust shearing machines for various jobs.
• Select correct tooling to achieve the desired cut.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary.
• Inspect cut pieces for quality and accuracy before proceeding.
• Report any machine issues to the supervisor immediately to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.

Requirements

Education

• Formal training or certification in machine operation or maintenance is preferred.

Experience

• Experience in related fields such as metal fabrication or welding is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read technical drawings
• Experience with computer-controlled machinery
