We are seeking a Corporate Attorney to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel on corporate matters, ensuring compliance with South African laws and regulations. You will work closely with clients to navigate complex legal issues, draft contracts, and manage transactions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key advisor on corporate legal matters.
• Manage cross-border transactions and understand applicable laws.
• Work with compliance departments to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Facilitate internal and external audits related to corporate legal processes.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Specialization in Corporate Law preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of corporate legal experience

Technical Skills

• Legal Drafting
• Mergers and Acquisitions

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Legal Practice Course (LPC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Afrikaans: Ability to speak and write in Afrikaans is advantageous.
