Corporate Trainer - Learning and Development

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Corporate Trainer to lead our learning and development initiatives in Cape Town. This role involves designing custom training programs and delivering engaging workshops to foster skill development and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Support the onboarding process by delivering training for new employees.
• Manage the training schedule and coordinate logistics for training events.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to improve performance.
• Engage with external training providers to implement specialized programs.
• Develop and maintain training records and documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
• Master's degree in Adult Education is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate training and development

Technical Skills

• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• eLearning Development Tools

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Certified Learning & Development Professional
• Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (CIDD)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in virtual training delivery: Proficiency in using virtual training platforms (Zoom, MS Teams).
• Familiarity with psychological principles in training: Understanding of adult learning principles and cognitive theories.
