Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect with a strong background in Urban Design to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be involved in a variety of projects, ranging from residential communities to public spaces, ensuring sustainable and aesthetically pleasing designs. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional design abilities, strong technical skills, and the capability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for urban development projects, from conceptualization to execution.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss project scope and requirements.
• Utilize design software to create detailed visual representations of projects.
• Conduct research on urban design trends and practices.
• Mentor junior architects and interns in design methodologies.
• Assess and mitigate project risks throughout the design process.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Design is preferred
• Professional affiliation with recognized architectural bodies is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in urban planning or architecture

Technical Skills

• 3D Modeling Software
• GIS Software

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Green Building Certification
• Chartered Architect Membership is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
