Underwriter

Job Description

Looking for a detail-oriented Underwriter to assess risks and determine terms for insurance applications in Durban. This role will require strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful underwriting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed risk analysis and advise on policy changes.
• Ensure timely completion of underwriting tasks.
• Provide support for policy renewals and endorsements.
• Identify opportunities for new business opportunities through analysis.
• Present findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

Experience

• 5 years of underwriting experience preferred

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Associate in Underwriting (AU)
