Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You’ll work collaboratively with other engineers and departments to create innovative solutions that meet client specifications and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Evaluate and select materials for mechanical projects.
• Develop project schedules and manage resources effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure design documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Professional Engineering registration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry

Technical Skills

• Autodesk Inventor
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Creative Problem-Solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations: Understanding of ISO and ASME standards.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems: Hands-on experience in managing product development processes.
