Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience in managing financial records. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing recommendations to improve financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain complete financial records.
• Compile financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Provide expert financial analyses to support decision-making.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit tax returns within deadlines.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Advise managers on the financial implications of business activities.
• Monitor and report on budgets throughout the year.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree in Accounting is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting environment

Certifications

• CMA (Certified Management Accountant)

Languages

• Zulu: Fluent
