Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing, and improving mechanical systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design specifications and drawings.
• Evaluate and recommend materials for engineering projects.
• Oversee project budgets and schedules.
• Communicate with suppliers and clients about project specifications.
• Review and improve production processes and methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics: Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Project experience in renewable energy: Background in renewable energy projects would be advantageous.
