We are on the lookout for a Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our Sandton-based team. The ideal candidate will take charge of designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes. The role also includes collaborating with architects, contractors, and urban planners to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects. You will need to balance technical expertise with effective communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design phase of various civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate with various disciplines including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate deliverables.
• Develop and manage project schedules.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Management or Engineering is preferable

Experience

• Proven track record with 7+ years of experience in the civil engineering sector
