Job Description

We are seeking a qualified General Practitioner to join our staff. The successful candidate will provide a full range of medical services to our patients, manage chronic health conditions, and implement preventive healthcare measures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to fostering relationships with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic health issues.
• Develop long-term patient care strategies in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Facilitate access to healthcare resources and services.
• Empower patients through education and support for their health goals.
• Conduct health screenings and preventative tests.
• Implement best practices, guidelines, and quality standards in care delivery.
• Engage with patients and their families to develop rapport and trust.
• Report and document any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance in patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic goals.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB in Medicine
• Specialized training in family medicine or internal medicine is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a primary care setting

Certifications

• Diploma in Family Medicine
• Certificate in Child Health

Languages

• Zulu: Conversational
• English: Fluent
