Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing our IT infrastructure and safeguarding sensitive data against cyber threats. You will work closely with IT and management teams to implement security measures, conduct risk assessments, and handle incident responses.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a proactive security strategy tailored to our organization.
• Work closely with the IT department to ensure system integrity and security.
• Conduct incident response investigations and compile reports.
• Implement data loss prevention strategies and encryption solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity landscape.
• Enhance user access controls and monitor privileged accounts.
• Provide training on security awareness and best practices to all employees.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles
