Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications and manage prescriptions.
• Advise patients on over-the-counter medications and health products.
• Conduct medication reviews to ensure safe and effective therapy.
• Work alongside healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Implement quality assurance measures within the pharmacy.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Handle pharmacy cash register and manage transactions.
• Support health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Clinical knowledge
• Medication management

Soft Skills

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
