Job Description

As an Auditor in Johannesburg, you will be instrumental in evaluating financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will analyze financial statements, conduct fieldwork, and prepare audit reports to provide insights to management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate financial statements and internal controls.
• Document audit findings and present them to stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential financial discrepancies.
• Review compliance with laws and regulations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss audit strategy and findings.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in processes and controls.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing techniques and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors as necessary.
• Prepare management letters outlining reportable issues.
• Support management in compliance initiatives and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree or additional qualifications preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in auditing or finance-related field

Technical Skills

• Audit Software (e.g., ACL, IDEA)
• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
