We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to guide treatment planning.
• Design and implement therapeutic activities that promote independence.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public about occupational therapy.
• Document treatment sessions and progress effectively.
• Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Therapeutic Techniques
• Adaptive Equipment Usage

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)
• Certification in Hand Therapy is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Advanced skills in manual therapy: Expertise in manual therapy techniques to enhance rehabilitation.
• Experience with telehealth services: Familiarity with providing therapy through virtual platforms.
