Job Description

As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will be integral to our production team, operating and maintaining slip cover machines. Your attention to detail will ensure that each cover meets our high standards of quality. Join us to create quality furniture solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain sewing machines to produce slip covers.
  • Cut and measure fabrics accurately for each slip cover.
  • Inspect the quality of finished products and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Identify potential production problems and address them promptly.
  • Support other team members in achieving daily production goals.
  • Keep work area tidy and perform regular machine maintenance.
  • Help train and mentor junior operators as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss production efficiency.
  • Comply with all workplace safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Formal training in sewing or machine operation is preferred
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly operating sewing machines.
