BIM Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect specializing in Urban Design to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating urban spaces that enhance community engagement and sustainability. You'll play a key role in designing projects that transform city landscapes, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of BIM approaches into project execution strategies.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to align BIM objectives.
• Develop customized templates and libraries for BIM software.
• Oversee the lifecycle of BIM projects from concept to completion.
• Evaluate project progress and suggest improvements in the BIM processes.
• Assist with the management of project timelines and deliverables.
• Support the marketing efforts by providing BIM content for promotional materials.
• Ensure training materials are up-to-date and accessible for team members.
• Manage project data including surveys and existing conditions.
• Utilize advanced software tools for analysis and model development.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or relevant discipline

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in BIM and project coordination

• Navisworks
• SketchUp

Certifications

• LEED Certification
• Autodesk Revit Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with GIS tools: Experience with Geographic Information Systems for project analysis.
• Understanding of local building codes: Knowledge of South African building regulations and standards.
