Responsibilities

• Assess insurance applications and financials to determine risk levels and coverage.
• Work collaboratively with agents to provide necessary information for policy issuance.
• Review and approve underwriting proposals, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments on new and renewing policies, ensuring accurate pricing.
• Respond to agent inquiries and assist in resolving underwriting issues.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and rationales.
• Prepare reports on underwriting activities for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualification in Insurance or underwriting

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry

• Regulatory Knowledge

Certifications

• Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) Accredited

Languages

• English: Fluent
