Job Description

As a Pharmacist in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on drug interactions, and providing excellent customer care. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
  • Educate patients on proper medication use and health management.
  • Process insurance claims and manage pharmacy billing.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote health awareness.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of pharmacy interns.
  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is compliant with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • Master's or advanced degree in Pharmacy is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years managing a pharmacy team preferred
