Printing Press Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to manage and maintain our printing machinery. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of offset printing processes and demonstrate a commitment to achieving high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations throughout the production process.
• Load and unload paper and materials for printing jobs.
• Implement preventive maintenance for printing equipment.
• Solve operational problems that may arise during production.
• Support the quality control team in achieving production targets.
• Report on production performance and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Certificate in Printing or relevant area is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a printing environment with a proven track record.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Quality assurance practices

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Time management

Certifications

• Advanced Certificate in Printing Technology

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a high-volume printing environment: Hands-on experience working in fast-paced print production.
• Familiarity with print finishing processes: Knowledge of processes like cutting, binding, and laminating.
