Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills to perform grooming services for various breeds of dogs and cats.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and safe environment for both pets and owners.
• Work collaboratively with other grooming staff and support teams.
• Educate pet owners on proper grooming maintenance at home.
• Maintain accurate customer records and appointments.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on grooming trends and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care or Grooming is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in pet grooming or related field

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment Handling
• Animal Handling

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in skin and coat health: Knowledge of common skin and coat issues in pets.
• Familiarity with dog training: Understanding basic dog training commands and techniques.
