We are on the hunt for a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will focus on developing new chemical processes to enhance production efficiency and sustainability. You'll collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to implement innovative solutions that meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee pilot plant trials to validate new processes.
• Compile and analyze production data to enhance quality.
• Develop and execute process optimization strategies.
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers for the procurement of materials.
• Lead safety audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements to apply in processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in chemical process development

Technical Skills

• Process Simulation Software
• Project Management

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
