Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components while collaborating with various teams to ensure project success. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to production.
• Evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and provide engineering support.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and simulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Professional registration is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in a related engineering field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the automotive industry: Previous experience working in automotive engineering and design.
