Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Urban Planner to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will engage in urban analysis and planning processes, focusing on sustainable development and community engagement. This role involves collaborating with local government, stakeholders, and the community to design master plans and policies that align with spatial development goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate land use patterns and make recommendations for sustainable development.
• Engage with community stakeholders to gather input and address concerns.
• Draft land use regulations and zoning ordinances.
• Monitor urban development projects for compliance with regulations.
• Conduct urban research to inform planning initiatives.
• Create comprehensive reports for urban planning proposals and projects.
• Facilitate collaboration between public and private sectors in urban initiatives.
• Implement best practices in sustainable planning and design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or Environmental Science
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in urban planning or related capacity
