Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our Cape Town clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal illnesses and injuries, providing preventive care, and educating pet owners on animal health. This role requires strong clinical skills, a love for animals, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in animals.
  • Conduct routine health checks and vaccinations.
  • Provide surgical services and follow-up care.
  • Advise pet owners on health maintenance and nutrition.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team.
  • Provide emergency care as needed.
  • Manage inventory and order medical supplies.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Support animal welfare initiatives in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • DVM or equivalent
  • Advanced training or certification in a specialty is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary practices, specialty preferred
