Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team in Gqeberha. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and advising clients on tax matters. Your expertise will be crucial in optimising tax liabilities and identifying tax-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare clients' tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
• Advise clients on tax-related strategies to minimise liabilities.
• Ensure adherence to changing tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Respond to client tax inquiries effectively and professionally.
• Generate reports that illustrate tax positions for clients.
• Work with finance departments to address tax issues impacting financial reports.
• Identify potential areas for tax savings and document decisions.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits.
• Educate clients on tax compliance responsibilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Master's degree or additional certification in tax law preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in corporate tax accounting
