Field Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team in Klerksdorp. The successful candidate will manage engineering installations and monitor project progress. You will work closely with both management and field staff, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation operations and inspect completed work for quality.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other stakeholders involved in projects.
• Evaluate engineering projects and provide your feedback to improve processes.
• Generate regular reports on project progress and performance.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to risk assessments.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication.
• Provide troubleshooting support for field issues as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of field engineering experience, preferably in large-scale projects

Technical Skills

• Surveying Techniques
• Data Analysis

Certifications

• Building and Construction Management Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledge of lean principles can provide efficiencies in project execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar tools: Experience with project management software to track project timelines.
