Job Description

As a Tax Specialist in Pietermaritzburg, you will handle various tax-related responsibilities, from preparing returns to offering strategic advice. Your expertise will support clients in navigating their tax obligations while ensuring optimal compliance. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of South African tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular tax review sessions with clients to monitor filing status.
• Document strategies for tax minimization.
• Assist clients with withholding and estimated taxes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business transactions.
• Deliver the highest standard of customer service.
• Continually assess internal processes to ensure compliance.
• Develop educational materials for clients on tax issues.
• Supervise the preparation of accurate tax computations.
• Act as the point of contact for client tax-related inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for business development through client interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree in Taxation is an added advantage

Experience

• 5 years of tax experience, preferably in a consulting environment

Certifications
