Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. Responsibilities

• Develop innovative mechanical designs and solutions.
• Work closely with other engineers to achieve project goals.
• Conduct material selection and analysis for mechanical components.
• Create prototypes and test new designs to ensure functionality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate in project meetings to discuss designs and timelines.
• Prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
• Review and update technical specifications and drawings.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding materials and components.
• Ensure that all mechanical work aligns with company standards and goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• FEA Software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
