Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits you as an Accountant in Johannesburg. You will be managing financial records, preparing reports for management, and liaising with tax authorities. Your expertise will be key in helping our clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records accurately.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor cash flow and reconcile bank statements.
• Provide financial advice to clients based on their unique circumstances.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA(SA), ACCA) is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

• Financial Reporting
• Tax Compliance
• Accounting Software (e.g. Pastel, QuickBooks)

Certifications

• Certified Accountant (CA(SA))
• Tax Practitioner Registration (TPR)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with IFRS regulations: Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards is a plus.
• Experience in a managerial role: Previous experience managing a team is advantageous.
