Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist in Pretoria to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities include dispensing medications, patient counseling, and monitoring drug interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compound medications based on prescriptions.
  • Ensure that the pharmacy operates in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide disease management advice and support to patients.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide guidance on health-related inquiries.
  • Perform medication reconciliation for discharged patients.
  • Utilize pharmacy management software effectively.
  • Regularly conduct staff evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or Healthcare Management is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting
