Responsibilities

• Oversee the health and wellness of the animals in care.
• Consult with pet owners regarding treatment options.
• Manage and mentor veterinary technicians and interns.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary standards and ethics.
• Implement preventative healthcare programs for animals.
• Respond to emergency situations with swift and effective care.
• Conduct post-operative care and follow-up appointments.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the clinic environment.
• Enhance community outreach and education initiatives regarding animal welfare.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Additional certifications in specialized fields is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mixed or small animal practice
