Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing engineering projects. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and teamwork to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the mechanical design process from concept to production.
• Analyze data and trends to suggest design improvements.
• Maintain documentation for all engineering processes to ensure traceability.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers and interns.
• Conduct site visits to ensure project specifications are being met.
• Present project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure sustainability practices are integrated into mechanical designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
