Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical design and a passion for innovative solutions. You will work closely with our engineering team to develop and improve mechanical systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and present findings to management.
• Implement best practices in mechanical engineering processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
• Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements.
• Participate in professional development and training programs.
• Mentor interns and junior engineers in their projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practical experience in mechanical engineering

• Prototyping and Fabrication

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Certified Project Manager (CPM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in ANSYS and MATLAB: Experience using ANSYS for simulations and MATLAB for data analysis.
• Project management training or certification: Training in project management methodologies is advantageous.
