Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Special Educator passionate about supporting students with unique learning needs. You will be responsible for assessing these needs and implementing individual educational plans to support their academic success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt instructional materials to ensure accessibility for all learners.
• Work collaboratively with other educators and specialists to support student growth.
• Establish a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
• Conduct regular assessments to identify student strengths and areas for improvement.
• Facilitate communication between students, parents, and the educational team.
• Attend meetings and workshops to support continuous learning and professional growth.
• Advocate for students' individual needs within the school community.

Requirements

Education

• Honours degree in Special Education or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a special education setting preferred

• Curriculum Development

Certifications

• Special Education certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Training in behavioral intervention strategies: Experience in implementing strategies that encourage positive behavior and engagement.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team: Experience working collaboratively with various specialists to meet student needs.
