Flagman

Job Description

As a Flagman, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow at construction sites to ensure a safe environment for workers and the public. You will use flags and hand signals to direct vehicles and pedestrians, while strictly adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic flow at construction sites, ensuring all safety regulations are observed.
• Coordinate with site managers and construction teams for optimal traffic management.
• Inspect and maintain traffic control devices for effectiveness.
• Keep detailed records of traffic patterns for project reporting.
• Participate in safety drills and follow emergency procedures.
• Support the management in implementing safety measures on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 10 or equivalent
• Certificate in Traffic Safety Management is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Traffic Management Systems
• First Aid Certification

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail

Advantageous

• First Aid or Fire Safety certifications.: Additional certifications in safety can be advantageous.
