Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing piped systems, while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installations of various piping systems for residential and commercial projects.
• Conduct regular system tests to ensure performance and safety.
• Assist and supervise junior staff and apprentices.
• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards during all work activities.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with piping systems and propose solutions.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade certificate in plumbing, gas fitting, or heating and ventilation

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in piped systems installation and maintenance.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Valid driver's license
• Proof of registration with relevant professional organizations

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Experience with renewable energy systems: Knowledge in the installation of systems that utilize alternative energy sources.
• Experience with welding and brazing techniques: Skills in joining metals, beneficial for certain piping installations.
• Experience with pipe fitting and threading: Competency in shaping and joining pipes for various applications.
