Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter, you will play a critical role in setting up and operating trimming machines to ensure the smooth production of high-quality woodworking products. Your expertise will ensure that machines are running efficiently, and products meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up trimming machines according to detailed work instructions.
• Adjust machine parameters to optimise production efficiency.
• Perform regular inspections of products for quality assurance.
• Ensure machines and workspaces are clean and organized.
• Handle troubleshooting and repairs of minor machine issues.
• Adhere to all workplace safety standards.
• Document production and maintenance activities accurately.
• Work closely with other production staff to maintain workflow.
• Attend training sessions to improve machine operation skills.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Further education in manufacturing technology is advantageous

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Machine maintenance skills
• Data entry skills for production logs

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Leadership skills: Ability to guide and support junior operators in the team.
