Job Description

As a Health Specialties Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or learning difficulties. Your primary focus will be to develop individualized therapy plans, enhance inclusive learning, and foster an environment of growth and understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy and counselling to learners requiring additional support.
  • Create and implement lesson plans that incorporate therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop holistic approaches for learner development.
  • Track and report on learner progress and provide tailored support as necessary.
  • Engage with families to support their understanding of their child's needs.
  • Stay informed about current developments in therapy and education.
  • Conduct workshops for staff on integrating therapy into the classroom.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Teaching or Social Work
  • Specialization in Therapy or Counselling preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with children who have special needs or learning difficulties is an advantage.
