Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our dynamic production team. This role involves operating CNC lathes and turning machines to produce high-quality metal and plastic components. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine setup and troubleshooting, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning equipment.
• Ensure the quality of components by following measurement and testing protocols.
• Troubleshoot any machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records.
• Work in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the development of new machining processes.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Trade qualification in machining or similar discipline preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in CNC machining or turning operations

• CNC Programming

Advantageous

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles for process optimization.
