Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients presenting with a range of ailments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Keep abreast of changes in health care policies and procedures.
• Participate in patient care conferences and staff meetings.
• Assist in the training and education of healthcare interns.
• Collaborate with family members to encourage patient progress.
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of patient information.
• Foster a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or overseas equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years practicing as a General Practitioner

• Diagnostic skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR): Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management.
