Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Highway Patrol Officer to enforce traffic laws, ensure road safety, and provide assistance to motorists on South African highways. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor traffic flow and identify risks to public safety.
  • Respond quickly to traffic-related incidents, providing support as necessary.
  • Perform regular inspections of vehicles for roadworthiness.
  • Engage with the community to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Utilize traffic management systems and radio communication effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with emergency response protocols during serious incidents.
  • Attend workshops and training to improve job performance.
  • Maintain physical fitness to meet the demands of patrol duties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities.
  • Document and report all operational activities and incidents accurately.

Requirements

Education
  • Matriculation certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, traffic control preferred.
