An exciting opportunity has opened for a Mechanical Engineer in Pretoria. You will be tasked with the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems. Your role will involve close interaction with various stakeholders, including project managers and clients, to ensure project specifications are met effectively. A strong focus on innovation and efficiency in mechanical processes is essential, as well as strong analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement the necessary improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and systems.
• Perform simulations and testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on cross-functional projects.
• Ensure that projects are completed within budget and deadlines.
• Document processes and create user manuals.
• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.
• Conduct design reviews and feasibility studies.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors for material procurement.
• Promote innovative approaches and sustainable practices within engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role

• CAD Software

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
