Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance) based in Johannesburg, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functionality of machinery and equipment. You will be tasked with developing maintenance strategies, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating closely with other engineering disciplines to enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of double & single acting cylinders, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Liaise with suppliers for parts and equipment required for the maintenance.
• Identify and evaluate risks associated with equipment maintenance.
• Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and technicians.
• Monitor performance indicators to optimize engineering operations.
• Participate in design reviews and project planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
